TUNIS, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Club Africain qualified on Saturday for the quarterfinal of the African Confederation Cup after beating Ethiopia's St George 2-0 in Rades, the official TAP press agency reported.
Africain which managed to clinch a 1-1 draw in their away match, scored in the third minute thanks to a long distance shot by Skander Ben Cheikh, and doubled the score at the 29th minute when Amir Hadj Messaoud scored a neat penalty goal.
The second half proved a history of missed opportunities for St George with Adam and Biluk closely missing Ben Ayoub's goal posts.
Thanks to its calm and experience, Africain managed to resist St George's relentless pressure and retain its 2-0 lead, qualifying for the next round of the African Confederation Cup.
