VIENNA, March 19 (Xinhua) -- The Chief Justice of Low Austria convicted the Austrian incest father Josef Fritzl of murder on Thursday afternoon in St. Poelten and gave him a life imprisonment.

    The Jury has also found that Josef committed slavery, sexual assault, incest, as well as hostage. Since there is no death penalty in Austria, the life-long imprisonment is the heaviest penalty.

Josef pleaded guilty and will not make any more appeal.

    In the middle of April, 2008, the Austrian policemen arrested the Austrian incest father, who held his daughter as sex prisoner and outraged her for 24 years, and fathered seven children with her.

The case was under inspection in the following year and he was accused by police with murder, illegal hostage and incest. The prosecutor accused that Josef committed murder as he did not take his unsound infant to see doctor, while he had been denying the "murder" and said that the infant was dead as he was born.

    Till Wednesday this month, he admitted that he was "guilty," as the child was dead after 66 hours when he was born and he did not get him a doctor. Josef will spend the rest of his life in the state hospital for the criminally insane.
