VIENNA, April 15 (Xinhua) -- A diplomat of the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed here on Wednesday that inspectors have ceased supervision of a nuclear facility in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The DPRK on Tuesday asked the inspectors to stop supervision and leave the country as soon as possible.
IAEA inspectors, at the DPRK's request, had unsealed all the locked rooms in the nuclear complex and turned off all of the observation cameras, the diplomat was quoted by the Austrian Press Agency as saying.

The move came one day after the United Nations Security Council adopted a presidential statement on the country's recent rocket launch, saying it was "in contravention of Security Council Resolution 1718" and demanded the country "not conduct any further launch."
