AMMAN, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Jordan's King Abdullah II on Saturday swore in a new cabinet led by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour.
Ministers of interior, finance, planning and international cooperation, energy, and education were all replaced in the new 19- minister government (including the prime minister), while Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh stayed.
Reem Abu Hassan, a female minister, will head the Ministry of Social Development, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
On March 9, Jordan's king accepted the resignation of Ensour, the then prime minister, but re-tasked him with forming a new government as there had been no suitable candidate for the assignment.
Late last year, Ensour ended fuel subsidies, triggering nationwide protests.
