DAMASCUS, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Three kids and their father were killed Sunday in a fresh mortar attack in Damascus suburb of Jaramana, the state-run SANA news agency reported.
"Terrorists" have fired seven mortar rounds that struck the Kashkoul neighborhood, the main square, the Siyouf square, and Daf al-Saskher area in the southeastern suburb of Jaramana, said SANA.
Aside from the father and his three kids, who were killed when a mortar struck their taxi in Kashkoul, the mortars left 11 people injured, mostly women and children, some of whom are in critical conditions, SANA added.
The fresh attack has also left property losses in residential buildings, commercial shops as well as a number of cars, according to the report.
Jaramana, which is inhabited by Syrians from the Christian and Druze minorities, has witnessed intense mortar attacks by the rebels who are entrenched in the adjacent suburb of Jobar, according to the mainstream media.
