ANKARA, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- A Turkish senior police chief who worked in Ankara Police Department's Anti-smuggling and Organized Crime Unit was found dead in his car on Saturday in the country's capital of Ankara, local Dogan News Agency reported.
Preliminary investigation showed that the chief named Hakan Yuksekdag shot himself with a gun.
The incident came a day after 14 senior police officials in the National Police Department in Ankara were sacked from their posts in the ongoing graft probe linked to public tenders.
The police has launched further investigation into the incident.
