HAVANA, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Cuba on Saturday delivered the first coastal patrol ship for Venezuela, the official daily Granma reported.
Operations of the vessel, with a crew of 18 members, are controlled by computers, according to the report.
The ship is good for patrolling, security investigations and salvage in coastal waters, it said.
Besides the patrol ship, Cuba also delivered the fourth cargo ship built for the Venezuelan Armed Forces.
Venezuela is Cuba's top political and economic ally. At present over 45,000 Cuban professionals are serving in the South American country, while Caracas provides Havana with 100,000 barrels of oil per day.
