GAZA, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- After a 72-hour ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinians ended on Friday morning, Israeli war jets airstrikes killed five Palestinians and wounded ten others in renewed attacks.
Ashraf al-Qedra, Gaza health ministry spokesman, told reporters that five Palestinians were killed and ten wounded during Friday's Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip's houses, farms and lands.
He added that three Palestinians were killed and five injured in a fresh Israeli war jets airstrike on a house in al-Garara village east of the southern Gaza Strip town.

Al-Qedra also said that two more Palestinians, including a ten- year-old boy were killed in two separate airstrikes on Gaza city and the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah, adding that five people were injured in the two strikes.
He also said that the death toll since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip which started in July 8, reached 1,898 and the number of the wounded is around 10,000 people.
The Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip were put back into gear after minor militant groups fired dozens of rockets from the coastal enclave into Israel. Hamas armed wing until now hasn't fired any rocket since the end of the 72-hour cease-fire.
