PARIS, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- French President Francois Hollande on Tuesday strongly condemned the "heinous" attack on a Pakistani school which left at least 130 victims, among whom mostly are children.
"No words can describe the abjectness of such attack against children in their school," the president said.
In a statement released by his office, Hollande reiterated France's support to Pakistani government to eradicate terrorists.
In a separate communique, French Foreign Affairs Minister Laurent Fabius condemned the attack as a "monstrous act", expressing sympathy to the families and friends of the victims.
Earlier on Tuesday, Taliban insurgents, wearing army uniform, broke into an army-run public school in the Pakistani city of Peshawar and opened fire.
The school offers education mainly to children aged from 9 to 16 from the army families.
