PYONGYANG, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un recently watched the test firing of a "newly developed anti-ship rocket," the official KCNA news agency reported Saturday.
The test firing of the "ultra-precision anti-ship rocket," which was designed to precisely hit enemy warships, proved that " the powers of the rocket boat and the anti-ship rocket's hit rate reached the level of designed tactical and engineering data," the KCNA said.
This new-type rocket, after being deployed at naval units of the Korean People's Army, will "bring a great change" in defense of territorial waters and in reacting to attacking attempts of the enemy fleet, through contact or non-contact combat, it said.
Kim showed satisfaction with the test firing and required more tactical guided weapons of high precision and intelligence be produced based on test firing experience.
