WASHINGTON, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- The United States and its partners continued their air raids on the Islamic State targets inside Syria and Iraq in the past two days, the coalition said on Saturday.
The coalition forces, using bomber aircraft, launched an air raid near the northern border town of Kobani, in which two of the extremist group's fighting positions were destroyed, the coalition said in a press release.
The coalition used attack and fighter aircraft to conduct five airstrikes in Iraq, including one near Mosul and two near Sinjar, with six boats, one vehicle, a fighting position and five buildings destroyed.
Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, the Netherlands and Britain are among countries joining the U.S.-led air bombing in Iraq, while Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are supporting Washington in Syria.
