英语文摘:Libyan prime minister says to resign
日期:2015-08-12
TRIPOLI, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Libyan Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni on Wednesday told a private TV station that he would hand in his resignation.
Thinni's statement came hours after the peace talks among Libya's warring parties resumed in Geneva.
Libya has been witnessing a frayed political process after the 2011 turmoil toppled its leader Muammar Gaddafi. The country is now juggling with two rival parliaments and governments.
Thinni's government, now exiled in the eastern town of Tobruk, is internationally recognized but was driven away from the capital Tripoli by Islamist armed groups.
