BEIJING, April 17 (Xinhua) -- A 7.5-magnitude earthquake hit Ecuador at 7:58 a.m. Sunday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was monitored at 0.35 degrees north latitude and 79.95 degrees west longitude.
